It is an absolutely perfect day to share “It’s An Absolutely Perfect Day For” with your favorite child. The first thing that caught my eye were the delightful illustrations. The color are vivid, eye catching and absolutely perfect. Catherine G. McElroy is a very talented artist. Her watercolors are sure to please both child and adult. The text is simple yet educational and interest holding. The illustrations compliment the text on each page. This tale will assist in teaching the alphabet. Much of the text is absolutely perfect.
The 'Aa' page shows an airplane with alligators hanging from the landing gear and a list of A words on the side, “acrobatic aeronautical alligators attaining altitude in an antique amber and aqua aircraft.” What could be more fun? Well, perhaps 'd' was more fun with, “a dainty dancing donkey dressed in dots, defiantly denting Dodo’s drab dream machine.” The 'Ff' page features pink flamingos, “five fabulously fat feathered flying fifteen fearless furry ferrets faraway fairly fast.” The 'Ss' page features absolutely stupendous spiders, “smiling saffron spider selling skillfully spun silly silk stockings to seriously shopping slippery slimy slugs." Last but not least was 'Zz', “zonked out zebras sawing zzzzzzz dreaming of the absolutely perfect day tomorrow will be.”
This is an absolutely perfect book and I can hardly wait to share it with my absolutely perfect grandson Maddix and granddaughter Khloe. Don’t miss this book you and your children will love it!.
